| Established to be the flagship of the URAYA GROUP OF COMPANIES, its main thrust is the development of suburban communities to meet the housing needs of today’s growing population.
It has an authorized capital stock of P50 million and paid-up capital of P50 million. As of the year 2005, its total assets stood at P506 million, while total equity and retained earnings amounted to P113 million.
Its pilot project was undertaken in a 14-hectare subdivision lot in Mankilam, Tagum City. Known as Capitol Homes Subdivision, it has a total of 749 housing units, and was developed for the lower middle-income group of Davao del Norte’s biggest population sector.
Its second project, Elenita Heights Subdivision, is situated in Catalunan Grande, Davao City. It sits on a 50-hectare property with a total of 1,218 housing units and ‘lots only’ for Phase I and 1,014 housing units and ‘lots only’ for Phase II. To date, only a few units remain unsold.
At present, Uraya Land is involved in the development of an 80-hectare property in Toril, Davao City. Its first high-end subdivision project, Villa de Mercedes will initially develop 16.6 hectares of the entire property, with 411 lots available for sale. It has been granted its License to Sell on November 16, 2004 and the Company has already sold a total of 271 units as of November 15, 2006.
The Company has only been in the real estate business for almost twelve years but it has already made its mark in the industry. For four consecutive years, in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, it has been awarded by the Shoppers’ Choice Awards as the Best Low Cost Housing Developer in Davao City.
It has also been awarded by the Philippine Marketing Excellence Awards as the Best Low Cost Housing Developer in Davao City in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and by the National Product Quality Excellence Awards in 2006 as the Best Low-Cost Housing Provider in Davao City.
In the years to come, Uraya Land will continue to pursue its objective of land and housing development and meet its commitment of providing more homes to more people in Davao City and in some parts in Mindanao.
